This audio conference will provide practical applications of a customer-driven model for calculating the financial Return on Investment (ROI) of employee assistance programs (EAPs).  The presentation examines the assumptions, methods, and metrics for measuring ROI so that it will be believed by critical customers.  The presenter will start with a discussion of a conceptual foundation for determining the kinds of outcomes available to EAPs for defining their business value to purchasing customers.  This framework is based on the “EAP Business Value Model” developed by the presenter and Dr. Tom Amaral.  The presentation will then review a variety of ROI calculations for major kinds of workplace, health care, and organizational outcomes.

This session will include lecture-based learning modules on the major themes, with audience interaction after each learning module section to provide opportunities to share experiences, challenges, ideas, and comments.

Participants of this audio conference will receive a Resource Guide for Making the Business Case for Workplace Mental Health, which includes key research studies, literature reviews, white papers, and website resources on this topic.
